Some customers who buy laser rangers may encounter a problem: Why is my laser rangefinder not so accurate as its described? So today we will discuss how to achieve the best measurement results in your operation. 1. The main reasons for the inaccurate of infrared rangefinder are : (1) The transient drift caused by the drift of electronic components, light-emitting devices and crystal oscillators shortly after the machine is started. (2) Constant changes caused by external temperature changes of the instrument. (3) Constant change error at close range, which is the error generated when the luminescent tube transitions from full light spot to partial light spot as the distance becomes longer. (4) The measure target is in bad reflex conditions 2. How to Improve the Accuracy (1) Make the instrument be powered and maintain a good voltage environment so that the instrument is in steady state. (2) Choose the weak infrared weather for measurement operations, infrared light will interfere with the quality of the received signal, affect the precision of phase detection, so that the number of discrete, sometimes there will be gross error. Stable performance rangefinder will also be disturbed by strong sunlight, so as far as possible to choose a cloudy day without sunlight or in the afternoon when the sun is weak for measurement. (3) In the measured line of sight direction, there should be no obstructions and reflective objects within 1m diameter. Measurements should be carried out away from direct sunlight. (4) The constant change of the close range can be corrected after measurement. The error can be adjust by comparing with a steel ruler.
